another surgery

I forgot to mention this in our last post, but I wanted to ask for prayers from everyone. Arianna is scheduled for eye surgery on August 13th. She has blocked tear ducts. This has been going on since birth, but I was hoping that it would clear up on its own. After meeting with the pediatric optimologist (I don't think that's spelled correctly, but who really knows...), she said that less than 2% of children over 1 have tear ducts clear up on their own. So, our best bet for clearing the problem up is with surgery. The surgery is very similar to the tubes, but she will have to be put out again and that always makes me nervous. I'm thankful they could get us in right away when Jason and I will both be out of school, and it gives me less time to stress! :) So, I ask for prayers. Please pray that the surgery will be successful, pray for peace of mind and finally that Arianna does okay. Thanks!

6 years

Today, 6 years ago Jason and I were married. Sorry that I don't have pictures to post, I'm sure I could get them on this blog, but I'm too tired to actually figure out how. Anyway, I cannot believe that 6 years has passed. It seems like yesterday I was walking down the aisle to meet him! In 6 years our lives have changed in numerous and wonderful ways. We have been blessed with a beautiful (spunky, sassy...) little girl and blessed with another child on the way. We both have great jobs and our dream house. Needless to say, God has richly blessed us. Happy Anniversary.

Camping...

yes, you read the correctly....I went camping. For those of you who know me well know that I am a total resort person, but our small group from church decided to go camping all together and therefore, I went camping IN A TENT! It turned out to be such a fun weekend (minus the mosquitoes) and we realized that we are so blessed to have these people in our lives. God brought us all together and we love hanging out together. We went dune climbing, tubing down the river and just did a lot of hanging out at the campfire. I discovered a whole new type of food...Hobo Pies. They were excellent. Pizza over a fire?! Who knew?! Anyway, we had a riot and loved being with our friends. For those of you who were wondering if we were really brave and took Arianna, the answer is no. She got spoiled at Grandma and Grandpa's house -- I'm sure she enjoyed that much more than she would have enjoyed camping. Here are a few pictures of our weekend (if you're wondering why we're all in hoods at night...one word, mosquitoes!)

18 months and then some...

sorry this is so late. We've had a busy couple of weeks here. Both Arianna and I got sick. I let it go, thinking it was late season allergies or something weird like that, but then she spiked a high temp and then I spiked a high temp so I decided to call in the doctors. I was diagnosed with a severe sinus infection and my poor babe was diagnosed with a sinus infection AND infected tonsils. So, off to the pharmacy we went! :) I think that we are both just starting to feel a little better. So, that's why these pictures are late. Jason and I went to a local park to TRY and get some cute pictures of Arianna for her 18 month. I have a new-found respect for anyone who can get cute pictures of running toddlers. Seriously, it was so much work. I didn't get what I wanted, so we're going to try again next week sometime (just a little late for 18 months, but who really knows?!) Here are a few of the ones I did like...

4th of July

We had a great 4th. The weather was perfect. We started the day by visiting with Jason's brother, wife and kids. They were in town for the weekend. Arianna loved being pushed in the parade by big cousin Jordan. Then, in the afternoon we went to my parent's house for some time on the lake. It was so fun. My extended family all came for a visit as well. THEN, for the grand finale, my parents volunteered to take Arianna *gasp* overnight (first time I've ever left her!) so Jason and I could join our small group from church and go to the fireworks. It was so fun and relaxing. It was a great weekend!
