spring break

this will just be a written update as i have not had time to upload and edit the 300 pictures i took over spring break week (no, that is not an exaggeration, i took about 300 pictures).
overall, we had a blast. here is a quick list of our vacation memories:
  • Florida was beautiful and the weather was perfect. there was not an ounce of rain or clouds.
  • both arianna and neal loved swimming and being outside. i found that neal, like his mother, has an aversion to shoes and much prefers going barefoot.
  • we got to meet mickey mouse at a character breakfast. neal was terrified of the giant creatures and arianna thought they were wonderful.
  • arianna thought she was in a rocket ship the entire time we flew and kept shouting, 'blast off' and waving her arms in the air. neal on the other hand, didn't enjoy flying as much. he kept shouting, 'down! down!' and was really ticked off at me for not letting him down.
  • arianna got to pick one thing from the disney store. she picked out a princess pouch full or markers and crayons and a minnie mouse purse. neal grabbed the biggest goofy that he could find and walked around saying 'goo-goo'
  • neal took a massive header while running away from me in a crowded area and managed to scrap a chunk of skin off his forehead and nose.
  • we took the kids to eat at the t-rex restaurant for a treat and arainna screamed, 'i wanna get out of here!' the entire time. i guess huge disney characters are not as scary as moving dinosaurs. neal however, loved them.
  • neal probably put on 100 miles in the stroller as he loved to go for walks. he learned that if he pushed the stroller to 'papa' (my dad) he would for sure get a walk because my dad is a total sucker for his grandkids
  • arianna got ice cream on three different occasions from papa. she too learned quickly that by saying 'strawberry ice cream is my favorite' that it would result in her getting said strawberry ice cream

we had a blast and are so thankful that we were able to go and spend this time with our kids. it made me very excited for summer vacation and spending every day with my babies. i promise, pictures are coming.
