perspective...

today, i was going to write about how tired i am. how neal is still not sleeping. how he's up over half the night screaming his bloody head off. how i have no idea how to fix it, or how to get him to sleep. i've tried every trick i know, i've talked to every person i know, i've tried doctors and chiropractic therapy...i've tried it all. i was going to complain about how tired i am. i was going to whine about my life, again. then, i was given some perspective. i know i've written before how i read blogs. i'm addicted. lately, these blogs have given me some perspective. if you get a chance, please read them. read stellan's story and noah's road. it will give you some perspective too. so, last night, after reading those blogs, from 12:30am-3:30am when neal was crying in my arms, i held him tightly, gave him kisses and thought about my blessings rather than how much i wanted to sleep.

I don't know who reads my blog and I don't know how often people check it, but PLEASE, I'm asking anyone who is out there to please pray for this sweet baby. Stellan is back in the hospital and it's not going well. Please pray for him. Click on the sidebar to the right...please.

Neal has started eating cereal and baby food. He really enjoys it. He also enjoys his toes. ;)

this video is for Grandpa and Grandma Nikkel -- enjoy. She really knows the entire song, but she refuses to sing it for me on video. She gets two lines out and then says 'I wanna see it' meaning she wants to see the camera. This is the best I could do...you'll just have to come and visit to hear her sing the rest ;)

Neal is still being a real stinker when he sleeps. However, when he does, he's soooo cute. Here he is taking a snooze on the couch.

Arianna has really been into being a princess lately. She loves wearing skirts and my high heels and calling herself a princess. I found this tu-tu on clearance at a local store and just had to have it. She loves it and loves being a princess. ;)

The 4th of July: this year we went to my parents house. It was a bit rainy and cold in the morning, but it eventually warmed up. My mom's side of the family came over for some BBQ in the back yard. Once again, we were blessed that my grandma was able to come...94 years young.

Arianna and daddy waiting to see the fireworks. My brother-in-law lights off HUGE fireworks in my parents back yard. It's like our very own show. This was the first year that Arianna was able to stay awake. She really loved the glow sticks that Aunt Arika brought!
